CSRD & Double Materiality
EU legislation, CSRD will enter into force in January 2024 where companies need to verify their sustainability work.
- CRSD is mandatory for a large number of companies.
It will affect EU entities – first large companies and at a later stage listed SMEs. - The CSRD aims to increase transparency and protect against greenwashing.
- Companies have to assess what topics are material - from the perspective of financial materiality, impact materiality or both.
- Ultimately, as the CSRD becomes the mainstream framework for reporting, it will provide a license to operate and grow.
Sanctions are expected to be significant if companies do not comply with the legislation!
By verifying your organization's sustainability work by an accredited third party, you are transparent about your sustainability work, which will strengthen your competitiveness!
